History As Told By Lady Jennelle Andromeda

Upon opening the glowing and tattered scroll... Thee see the fluid hand writing of a woman... and at the bottom... The words... "History Recorded By..." followed by Jennelle's title... and thee begin to read...

~*~Malik, the Patriarch of the House of Starrs, fell in love with a mortal woman by the name of Quiterie. She was sick and dying, but none-the- less Malik loved her with all his heart... He didnae wish to share his blood with her, however, because he was afraid that it would mean her demise.

They had a child by mortal means, and they named him Ryliegh. Since he was half Nosferatu already, Malik shared his blood with him when he reached adolescence as to bring him over entirely and to create a proper heir to the Throne of Starrs... It was also a matter of love...Malik didnae wish for Ryliegh to suffer mortal pains or to eventually die a mortal death.

After Malik fully turned Ryliegh, he planned on turning his still sick love, Quiterie. She had been ill for a number of years, and yet had survived it all. So in his love and compassion for, he finally thought that it would be best that she be turned.

She agreed, and so they attempted the turning... Sadly, though, Quiterie was too weak to be turned. As Malik drained her, she bled to death...and could not be recovered even as he fused his blood with hers. It was nae his fault...ye see, she was a hemophiliac...a bleeder...but he didnae know this...neither did she...it was something that was undiagnosed back then...but alas, that is what she 'ad been sick with all along...and that is what eventually caused her death.

Quiterie died professing her eternal love for Malik. Although it was an accident, Malik fell into a deep rage and depression after Quiterie's death. He blamed himself for her passing...he began to neglect his duties as Patriarch of Starrs...he became bitter and withdrawn. One day, Ryliegh woke up to find his father gone.

To this day, no one knows whether he is dead or alive...no one 'as heard from him in centuries. But Ryliegh loved his father...and still holds onto the belief that somewhere, somehow, he is alive. That is why he 'asnae claimed the title of Patriarch of Starrs. And it doesnae really matter...besides myself, Ryliegh is the last in line of his family...he was his father's only child...and as far as he knows he 'as no other living relatives.

After Malik disappeared, Ryliegh too was lost for a while. He was still a young adult...and without his father's love and care he felt pointless. He roamed the earth for a bit, and finally was taken in by a kind family that dwelled in the City of Atlantis. I know nae their names...perhaps if I speak to Ryliegh I shall ask him... He ne'er goes into much detail about his life there...only that it was a needed recovery for him... Anyway, while he was there, the Ruler of Atlantis took pity upon him, but also respected him and made him keeper of the Secrets of Atlantis.

After a while in living there, he left to explore new places...ye see, Ryliegh is a restless spirit...he forever roams the earth...it was about this time that I met him. We met in Scotland...during the feudal times...we fell in love instantly and he shared his blood with me a few weeks later...taking me into his House...making me First Princess...

Later on he took Xanthia into the family as well...but neither one of us shared the blood of our house with him. I was afraid that it was too strong...nae only are we much older than he, but he is half-mortal...I didnae know what our family's blood would do to him.

We dwelled in Scotland for a while...then he took me to Atlantis where we lived for a short time...but I know nae the way back...and after the city was Lost he refused to tell me what 'appened to it. To this Ryliegh is true...he 'asnae e'en revealed the secrets of that great city to me... That is why he is the Guardian of the Lost City...I personally still believe Atlantis exists...but I am jumping ahead of myself.

Ye see, Ryliegh is my eternal love...but we are together only for a short time e'ery few centuries. The fact is, if we are together for too long, I begin to get on his nerves and he on mine. I know it sounds silly, but that is the way it is... But still, I love him with all my heart...he is the holder of the Spirit of the Wind for the reason that after we come together and part again, he is gone... I can ne'er find him...yet I know he still lives...I can feel it...but it is like he disappears...

That is why I still believe that Atlantis is alive...I believe that he still holds important duties in that city, and that when we part he goes back to dwell there...though he willnae confirm or deny this...~*~

~*~Anyway, that is all I know of Ryliegh's history and family...it may be that he is the last one (besides Xanthia and I) left of the House of Starrs...that is, if Malik is dead. I hope this 'as helped ye out...~*~
